Its a mechanism for improving the time it takes to read from or write to a hard disk.

                                                          2) FILE COMPRESSION



Its when you use tools to make a file take up less space on a storage device. Its commonly used when sending a file from one computer to another over a connection that has limited bandwidth.

                                                          3) FILE DECOMPRESSION




Its when you return the file to its original size.

                                                        4) INTERNET HARD DRIVE



Its used to offer a means of accessing your computer files from any computer as long as that computer is connected to the internet.

                                                       5) OPTICAL DISC DRIVE




Its used to retrieve or store data on optical disc like CDS, DVDS,BDS, which holds much more information than classic portable media options e.g floppy disk.

                                                        6) SOLID STATE STORAGE




Its a nonvolatile, removable storage medium that employs integrated circuits rather than magnetic or optical media.
